The Clarendon Parish Council now invites sealed bids from eligible CONTRACTORS for the proposed rehabilitation of Bull Head to Colonel Ridge Road in Clarendon.
SCOPE OF WORKS
The scope of works includes but not limited to cleaning of side drains and to remove damage sections of road surface backfill and compacted with select material up to underline of existing road surface apply tack coat and lay and compact asphaltic concrete as patch.
ELIGIBILITY:
It is mandatory that contractors be registered with the National Contracts Commission in the Category “General Road Works/Civil Engineering Works” Grade 4 and above. All bidders must be tax compliant at the time of the bid opening. Bidding will be in accordance with the tender procedures and guidelines specified in the Handbook of Public Sector Procurement Procedure (March 2014).
AVAILABILITY OF BID DOCUMENTS:
Eligible bidders can obtain tender Documents as of Tuesday, December 28, 2015, at the Roads and Works Office Clarendon Parish Council, 1 Brooks Avenue May Pen.
FEE:
A non refundable payment in cash or managers Cheque in the amount of $3,000.00 payable to the Clarendon Parish Council is required. All queries concerning the tender document/drawings shall be made in writing to the Superintendent of Roads and Works, Clarendon Parish Council 3 Sevens Road, May Pen Clarendon.
SUBMISSION OF TENDERS:
The tender/s along with the required documents i.e. valid NCC certificate of registration and a valid TCC and is required to be placed in a sealed envelope clearly labeled “Rehabilitation of Bull Head to Colonel Ridge Road” and placed in the designated tender box provided, similarly marked and located in the lobby of the Clarendon Parish Council offices at 3 Sevens Road May Pen Clarendon on or before 12: 00 Noon (local time) on Tuesday 12, 2016.
OPENING OF TENDERS:
Tender envelopes will be opened publicly in the presence of representative of any tenderer who wish to attend on Tuesday 12, 2016 in the Council’s Chamber at the Clarendon Parish Council, 3 Sevens Road May Pen Clarendon at 12:15 p.m.
After evaluation of these documents by the evaluating committee and subsequent referral to the appropriate authorities for approval, the successful contractor will be accordingly notified.
The Clarendon Parish Council is not obliged to accept the lowest or any bid and also reserves the right to terminate the bid process at any point before the award of a contract without incurring liability to any of the bidders. (TENDERERS SHOULD NOTE THAT THE CONTRACT IS FIXED AND NOT SUBJECT TO PRICE ADJUSTMENTS.)
